Veena Velury, M.S. CCC-SLP

Veena Velury is a speech-language pathologist and owner of Magic Speech Therapy. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she did her undergraduate studies at San Jose State University (SJSU) in Communicative Disorders & Sciences, minoring in both Child and Adolescent Development and Deaf Studies. She then completed her master's at New York University (NYU) in Communicative Sciences & Disorders, in the bilingual extension program. With this program, Veena specialized in understanding bilingual language acquisition. Veena has experience with children aged 1 through adults, working on a range of speech and language needs. Along with English, Veena speaks Telugu, some Hindi, and some early language in Spanish. Veena is passionate about seeing each child as an individual, and prioritizing their specific needs. She understands each family has different expectations for their child, and strives to bridge the gap between a family's expectations and a child's individuality.
